Welcome to the Nuthouse

Hi there! I’m Mollie Walsh. Plain and simple, helping students grow is my passion. Amy and I live and breathe teaching and we wouldn’t have it any other way. I am thrilled and honored to work with such an amazing teacher partner that shares the same ideas, motivation, and values that I do.

As for me personally, I am currently in my fourth year of teaching (I can’t believe it’s already been that long!) I taught two years in fifth grade and two in fourth. I love getting my students thinking! I am constantly looking for new and innovative ways to encourage my students to think outside of the box.

My wonderful husband and I have been married one blissful year now (no kids yet!). However, we do have a dog, Hogan, who is maybe the cutest little pug you’ve ever seen. I know I speak for both Amy and I when I say how thrilled and ecstatic we are to be joining the blogger and TPT community. We’ve been wanting to get into the cyber world of teaching for a while and now it’s finally here! Let the adventure begin!

Hi! I’m Amy Weatherford, a fourth grade teacher in West Michigan. Finding engaging and challenging ways for my students to apply their knowledge of fourth grade standards is my goal every day! That is why the blogging and TPT communities are such amazing places to be. After much talk about creating a blog and store I am thrilled to finally be a part of a community that is constantly striving for just that.

I am in my twelfth year of teaching. I started my career as a teacher of emotionally impaired third through fifth graders. It was a wonderful experience that I loved very much. It was a difficult decision to leave special education but an opportunity to work in general education and to expand my knowledge of curriculum presented itself and I took it. I am obsessed with curriculum. I love picking a part the standards and finding new and creative ways to deliver the standards.

My husband Erik and I are college sweethearts and just celebrated our eighth anniversary in October. We have two beautiful daughters, Kate and Ellie, and our 11-year-old black lab, Gibson, makes our family complete.

I cannot put into words how excited I am to be starting this adventure with Mollie. The minute we started working together last year I knew I had found someone as nutty as me and that we were going to do amazing things together. Thank you for visiting our blog and for joining our journey!
